Short answer
I won't write that guide. Selling CVVs means trading the verification codes printed on other people's payment cards. That is not a business niche. It is carding, and in the U.S. it is a federal crime.
If that's what you came for, no version of this article helps you. What I can do is explain the ground you'd be standing on and point at the legitimate work that lives in the same neighborhood.
What the law actually covers
18 U.S.C. § 1029 is the statute people underestimate. It does not just punish using a stolen card number. It punishes trafficking in "unauthorized access devices," and courts have read that to include card numbers, CVVs, and the account data behind them. Buying, selling, or holding them in bulk can each stand on its own.
Sentences get worse when there is an organized operation, when the loss figures climb, or when someone crosses state lines. The FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center logs carding complaints by the thousands every year, and the Secret Service runs financial crime investigations as a core part of its mission. This is well-trodden ground for prosecutors.
The part people skip
Card data goes stale fast. Issuers flag and reissue. A dump sold as "fresh" may already be dead by the time it changes hands, which is why so much of that market runs on disputes, burner accounts, and outright exit scams. The people selling you inventory are often the ones most willing to take your money and vanish. You would be committing a felony to get scammed.
If the appeal is payments and risk
There is real, paid work in this space. Fraud analyst roles sit inside banks, PSPs, and merchants, and they hire people who understand how card data gets abused. Dispute and chargeback specialists, PCI compliance staff, trust and safety teams, and payment ops engineers all get paid to solve the problem that carding creates. None of those come with a felony on your record.
If you're already holding stolen card data, the move is to stop, not to scale. Talk to a defense attorney before you talk to anyone else.
